It’s that time of year, Christmas season has arrived! I have been having fun doing holiday mini sessions for some incredible families. I still have availability for holiday minis if you’re looking for updated pictures for your Christmas cards, maybe want some to give as gifts, or just to hang on your wall. This is a special time of year and I would love to capture your precious holiday memories so you can treasure them for a lifetime.
Fall is in the air! Soon, the leaves will be gone, but there is still some time left to enjoy the colors and the activities that fall brings. I enjoyed my time with this family, what a cool, yet nice fall day it was. They made the day even brighter. I am glad I got to work with them again. I hope to get a few more fall sessions in before winter sets in, but if this is my last fall themed session, at least the season will close out on a good note. 🙂
Time flies by so quickly, faster than many of us would like. To be able capture the precious moments of our lives so that we have a way to hold onto them is a gift, one I try to appreciate.
Many depend on me to give them a tangible way to preserve their memories and that is something we photographers should never take lightly. Once a moment is gone, it can never really be recaptured. So, we have to be ready and poised to get as many amazing moments on camera as we can.
It’s our job to give our clients wonderful memories. What we do is far more than just: sit, smile, and oh snap! It’s about more than just hours of editing, trying to perfect the images we took. It’s about more than lighting, props, and location. It’s about giving them an experience they will enjoy and then being able to look back at those moments for years to come.
Over the years, many have asked me why I take so many pictures. One of the biggest reasons is this, the memories within our minds fade over time. We forget what faces look like and moments spent with loved ones. We also sometimes drift apart as time goes on and people we love leave us. Pictures are a way to hold onto the memories we cherish most and keep them fresh within our minds, should we forget, we can just look at them and remember.
One huge reason I started my photography business was to create lifelong memories for others. From couples and families to weddings and graduations, I want to help others keep their most precious memories vivid for years to come. Right now, I have gotten quite the chance to do just that for people. The joy on their faces that I get to look back at remind me why I do this. When they share their pictures with loved ones, hang them on their walls, and look at them from time to time, I have done my job. 🙂
As fall approaches, many are gearing up to get their pictures done. From seniors in high school to engaged couples, busy picture season has begun.
I had work every single day last weekend, it was good. Summer wasn’t nearly as busy as I thought it would be, but now as it draws to a close, people are booking. 🙂
Here’s a few from last weekend’s sessions:
I got to work with great families, people that remind me why I love what I do. Getting to be a part of their lives in this way, capturing wonderful moments and creating forever memories for them is an amazing gift.
Hi! My name is Carissa! Some of you may follow my personal blog, but whether we have chatted before or not, I welcome you to my new page. This page is for my business only. This is another way for me to reach out, to show potential clients and photo lovers my work.
I have loved photography since I was 13. My mom handed me her old camera and once I began taking pictures with it, I was hooked. Some say it runs in my blood, my grandpa and my mom both have loved it as well. My grandpa was known to take pictures at weddings as their gift from him. I didn’t know until a couple of months ago just how much my mom loves it. It is nice to share that passion with her.
11 months ago, upon the urging of a friend and a deep desire to help my family, I began my photography business. I decided it was better to try and have it not work out than not try and forever wonder, “what if”. So far, I absolutely love what I do. Not only do I love taking pictures, but I also love working with the wonderful people I have met thus far. They make my job wonderful. We laugh, share stories, and have fun. It is about more than poses and smiles. What I do involves getting to know the clients, about knowing who they are and what they’re looking for.
My mission is to make everyone’s experience memorable and to capture those memories so that they can hold onto them for a lifetime. I hope that I get the chance to touch the lives of many in my journey. Thank you for being with me through this, the ups and downs. The support is what helps me get through the tough moments and makes the good ones even better. Here’s to many years of doing what I love and those that I work with enjoying their time with me for years to come.
