It’s that time of year, Christmas season has arrived! I have been having fun doing holiday mini sessions for some incredible families. I still have availability for holiday minis if you’re looking for updated pictures for your Christmas cards, maybe want some to give as gifts, or just to hang on your wall. This is a special time of year and I would love to capture your precious holiday memories so you can treasure them for a lifetime.
Fall is in the air! Soon, the leaves will be gone, but there is still some time left to enjoy the colors and the activities that fall brings. I enjoyed my time with this family, what a cool, yet nice fall day it was. They made the day even brighter. I am glad I got to work with them again. I hope to get a few more fall sessions in before winter sets in, but if this is my last fall themed session, at least the season will close out on a good note. 🙂
Time flies by so quickly, faster than many of us would like. To be able capture the precious moments of our lives so that we have a way to hold onto them is a gift, one I try to appreciate.
Many depend on me to give them a tangible way to preserve their memories and that is something we photographers should never take lightly. Once a moment is gone, it can never really be recaptured. So, we have to be ready and poised to get as many amazing moments on camera as we can.
It’s our job to give our clients wonderful memories. What we do is far more than just: sit, smile, and oh snap! It’s about more than just hours of editing, trying to perfect the images we took. It’s about more than lighting, props, and location. It’s about giving them an experience they will enjoy and then being able to look back at those moments for years to come.
Over the years, many have asked me why I take so many pictures. One of the biggest reasons is this, the memories within our minds fade over time. We forget what faces look like and moments spent with loved ones. We also sometimes drift apart as time goes on and people we love leave us. Pictures are a way to hold onto the memories we cherish most and keep them fresh within our minds, should we forget, we can just look at them and remember.
One huge reason I started my photography business was to create lifelong memories for others. From couples and families to weddings and graduations, I want to help others keep their most precious memories vivid for years to come. Right now, I have gotten quite the chance to do just that for people. The joy on their faces that I get to look back at remind me why I do this. When they share their pictures with loved ones, hang them on their walls, and look at them from time to time, I have done my job. 🙂
My son started high school on September 5th. I wanted to capture his last day of summer vacation in a unique way. Do you have kids in school? How are they adjusting to the new school year? Sessions like these can be a fun way to escape homework, teachers, and those hallowed halls for a little while. If you know someone that would be interested, check out my site: http://www.facebook.com/carissagrayphotography to see more of my work. Here is to an amazing year ahead. The sky is the limit!
As fall approaches, many are gearing up to get their pictures done. From seniors in high school to engaged couples, busy picture season has begun.
I had work every single day last weekend, it was good. Summer wasn’t nearly as busy as I thought it would be, but now as it draws to a close, people are booking. 🙂
Here’s a few from last weekend’s sessions:
I got to work with great families, people that remind me why I love what I do. Getting to be a part of their lives in this way, capturing wonderful moments and creating forever memories for them is an amazing gift.
I just did my second class of 2018 session yesterday; it was so much fun working with Anthony and his mom.
This year’s seniors are ready to tackle the year ahead and have big plans for after graduation. 🙂 I’m excited to get to work with some of them, hear their plans for their futures, and get to know how the next generation thinks.
Here are a few from yesterday’s session:
Do you have a high school senior looking to get their pictures done? If you do and you live in the area, feel free to reach out to me so we can talk about what you’re looking for. Senior year is a big time in a young adult’s life and I’d love to be a part of it, so I can capture a few memories that you can treasure for a lifetime. 🙂
It’s that time once more, school is about to start and for some, this is THE year, senior year of high school! One of the exciting times, for some, is getting their yearbook pictures done. Deadlines for schools vary, some are within a few weeks and some have a few months. I just had my first Class of 2018 session a couple of days ago, was so much fun! I wanted to share a few images from the lovely Terrah’s session. If you have a high school senior, maybe it will inspire you to get your teen’s session booked. 😉
