Love That Lasts

In this day and age, it often seems like there aren’t a lot of happy endings. So many marriages don’t last, but sometimes you come across a couple that reminds you that there are also plenty of marriages that do, that do stand the test of time. I had the pleasure of working with this amazing couple on Memorial Day, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were an amazing couple. I loved watching the way they talked to one another, how they still light up when they look at one another. They are proof that true love does exist. It is hard work, but worth it when you have built such a beautiful life together, full of love and laughter.

Happy 50th Anniversary and here is to many more wonderful years together. You are an inspiration! May more couples be like you, honest, hard working, loyal, kind, and committed to not only one another, but the many that they love, including their kids, grandkids, siblings, friends, and more. Thank you for letting me capture beautiful moments on your special day, it was an honor for me.

Spring Has Sprung!

Winter was a little slow, but things are picking up. Thank you, Spring! I’m happy the snow and frigid days are gone for now. I did several Mommy & Me mini sessions, a newborn session, and a wedding recently. Upcoming, I’ve got a 50th wedding anniversary party, senior pictures, family pictures, and several weddings. (And let’s not forget contract signings for other events!)

I hope you’ve all been making the most of each day, finding beauty within it, and sharing it with others! That’s why I do what I do, to capture beautiful moments for others and turn them into forever memories. 🙂

A Mother’s Love

I got the opportunity to work with a wonderful trio of ladies, a mother and her two grown daughters. Working with them reminded me that a mother’s love, worry, hope, and joy never fades, no matter how old her children gets. Her unconditional love begins during pregnancy and lasts for as long as she lives. I loved getting to witness their love for one another. It came through in every picture and those are my favorites. A picture without emotion is a mere piece of paper, no matter how flawless it may look. When the emotion within touches your soul, it’s beautiful beyond words.

Love’s Beginning

I tell my client’s stories one picture at a time. This was from a maternity session I did this past weekend. During, it got me thinking about how the love for your child begins long before birth. During those months that the baby grows within the womb, a bond is already forming and by the time they’re born, that foundation of love is solid. I loved being a part of their story.

The Busy Season Begins.

Winter was slow, but now that spring is upon us, things are picking up!!! I’m excited to see what this year has in store for me!!

This weekend, I’m doing a fashion show photo shoot at a six year old’s birthday party, an outdoor maternity session, and two wedding contract signings. This is just the beginning!!!

I’ll have a booth at the Farmer’s Market in our small town a few dates this year, hoping to get my name out there more. I have a feeling things are going to get even better for my little business. I’m looking forward to meeting many more wonderful people and creating lifelong memories for them. ❤

2018 Sessions Thus Far

It’s been a slow start business wise, but that’s to be expected after Christmas. Things are starting to pick up and I’m excited! I’ve already gotten to work with some great families and I’m looking forward to meeting many more. One of the reasons I love what I do is because I get to work with some great people. My clients make what I do wonderful, you are why I do this. Here is to an incredible 2018 with you!!

2017 was great!

As I sit here reflecting on 2017 and how my business and I have grown, I wanted to share some of the highlights of the past year.

I did my first weddings, newborn sessions – including my first Fresh 48 session, cake smash sessions, and other firsts. It truly was an amazing year. Thanks for being a part of It!

And now onto 2018! Here’s to another wonderful year, may it be even better than the last!! I hope to work with you and your family!

It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas…

It’s that time of year, Christmas season has arrived! I have been having fun doing holiday mini sessions for some incredible families. I still have availability for holiday minis if you’re looking for updated pictures for your Christmas cards, maybe want some to give as gifts, or just to hang on your wall. This is a special time of year and I would love to capture your precious holiday memories so you can treasure them for a lifetime.

Fall is in the Air

Fall is in the air! Soon, the leaves will be gone, but there is still some time left to enjoy the colors and the activities that fall brings. I enjoyed my time with this family, what a cool, yet nice fall day it was. They made the day even brighter. I am glad I got to work with them again. I hope to get a few more fall sessions in before winter sets in, but if this is my last fall themed session, at least the season will close out on a good note. 🙂

Oh Snap!

Time flies by so quickly, faster than many of us would like. To be able capture the precious moments of our lives so that we have a way to hold onto them is a gift, one I try to appreciate.

Many depend on me to give them a tangible way to preserve their memories and that is something we photographers should never take lightly. Once a moment is gone, it can never really be recaptured. So, we have to be ready and poised to get as many amazing moments on camera as we can.

It’s our job to give our clients wonderful memories. What we do is far more than just: sit, smile, and oh snap! It’s about more than just hours of editing, trying to perfect the images we took. It’s about more than lighting, props, and location. It’s about giving them an experience they will enjoy and then being able to look back at those moments for years to come.
